Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fiber Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a state-of-the-art 12kW fiber laser cutting machine, ensuring precise and efficient fabrication of metal components. Your expertise in machine operation, programming, and quality control will be vital to maintaining our high standards of production. Duties
- Set up and operate the 12kW fiber laser cutting machine, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Program the laser using CNC (Computer Numerical Control) systems, CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to produce accurate cuts.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), to verify specifications.
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly, performing basic maintenance or coordinating repairs as needed.
- Handle materials safely within the manufacturing facility, including materials handling and proper packaging of finished products.
- Maintain detailed records of production runs, quality checks, and machine maintenance logs for compliance and continuous improvement.
Experience
- Proven experience operating fiber laser cutting machines or similar CNC machinery in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls or other CNC programming languages is preferred.
- Familiarity with mechanical blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Hands-on experience with CNC programming, CAM programming, CAD software like SolidWorks or similar design tools.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment troubleshooting, safety standards in production environments, and factory operations.
- Previous experience working with fabrication processes such as welding, stamping presses, press brake machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or flexo presses is advantageous.
- Ability to operate hand tools and machinery safely while adhering to all safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.

Pay: $25.32 - $30.49 per hour
