We're looking for a talented Project Engineer to join our growing team.

What you’ll get to do:
- Work hands-on and apply your knowledge and expertise to develop and execute assigned projects.
- Provide input into the design and pricing of new projects in support of business development and execute those projects after contract award.
- Supervise the construction of installations from the initial phase to completion and liaise between the client and Blue Phoenix.
- Monitor and manage the quality, budget, planning and implementation.
- Liaise between clients, the parent company colleagues in Europe, subcontractors, suppliers, engineering firms and partners.
- Travel frequently around the US and interact regularly with the company’s European counterparts.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, e.g. mechanical engineering; master’s degree preferred
- Strong project management experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant, hands-on work experience (e.g. process design, mining or metallurgy, waste-to-energy, power plant design, bulk materials handling, recycling, maritime engineering)
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite; familiarity with AutoCAD and Visio preferred
- Knowledge of machine maintenance preferred
- Ability to draw upon extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Hands-on mentality; proactive and able to work independently
- Results-driven troubleshooter, problem solver and organizer
- Commercial and financial insight
- Team player spirit; ability to work well within an international team
- Strong supervisory skills and influencing skills
- Solid, proven experience and judgment on civil, mechanical and electrical designs, strength calculations, process flows and equipment specifications
- A firm believer in structured engineering approaches, together with improvised, no-nonsense, on-site solutions
- Excellent communicator on all levels
- A mindset toward Safety, Health & Environment during work, with strict adherence to and enhancement of the Company’s standards; ability to prioritize team’s well-being
- Ability and willingness to travel both within the US and internationally
