Head of Retention Marketing (With EQUITY)

products with cutting edge direct response marketing. In just a few months, we’ve
grown into a multi 8-figure business — and we’re only getting started.
While we’re known for our expertise in direct response marketing, we go far beyond
just performance. We obsess over product quality. Our mission is to create the
highest quality over-the-counter hearing aids on the market — products that
genuinely improve the lives of millions suffering from hearing loss.
Job Description:
We're hiring a Head of Retention Marketing to take full ownership of our retention
function. We currently work with an external agency handling email, but the results
aren't where they need to be — and we're ready to bring this in-house with someone
who can own it properly.
You'll inherit existing email flows, customer data, and a foundation to work with — but
how you rebuild, expand, and scale it is entirely up to you. Email is the core channel,
but this role goes well beyond it. You'll own SMS, direct mail, subscription strategy,
offer architecture, and any other lever that drives repeat purchases and LTV.
You'll have access to our designers, video editors, and copywriters from day one. As
volume grows, we'll assign you a dedicated AI developer to automate what can be
automated, and hire additional team members to support you.
The goal is straightforward: dramatically increase returning customer revenue.
What You'll Own
- Own the email channel end-to-end: campaign strategy, automated flows, testing, segmentation, deliverability, and reporting.
- Keep a close eye on deliverability & open rates—ensuring our emails reach inboxes and get opened.
- SMS strategy and execution
- Craft Subscription offers to increase LTV
- Increase LTV in any other way possible: build offers, upsells, cross-sells, and reactivation campaigns that keep customers coming back.
- Partner with product, creative, and paid teams to make sure retention aligns with acquisition and brand growth.
- Monitor retention KPIs (LTV, repeat purchase rate, churn, etc.) and developinitiatives that move those numbers.
- Run A/B tests and use data to drive smarter decisions.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English
- Available full-time (40+ hours/week minimum)
- Proven track record (5+ years) in retention marketing, lifecycle marketing, with D2C ecommerce brands (multi-8 or 9-figure+ scale / direct response focused brands).
- Email Marketing: Deep expertise in email marketing including campaign strategy, segmentation, flows/automations, deliverability, and open/click-through optimization.
- Subscriptions: Proven experience with subscription/recurring revenue models including churn reduction, failed payment recovery, lifecycle optimization, and offer testing.
- SMS Marketing: Hands-on experience with SMS marketing at scale
- Offer Strategy: Experience crafting and testing offers, and subscription/loyalty programs to increase LTV.
- Strong grasp of retention KPIs (LTV, repeat purchase rate, churn reduction, CAC payback) and ability to build initiatives that move the needle.
- Strong copywriting instincts or ability to brief and guide copywriters toward persuasive, on-brand messaging.
Compensation & Equity:
Compensation is open and flexible, based on your experience, expertise, and the
level of ownership you bring to the role.
We’re not looking for someone to just “manage campaigns.” We’re looking for
someone who can own, build, and scale a world-class retention function, with email
at the core. If you’ve driven major lifts in LTV and retention before—and you’re ready
to do it again at a high level, this is the right job for you and you’ll be compensated
accordingly.

results, and you’ll be rewarded for it.
Equity is on the table. We're building something big and we want the person who
owns retention to have real skin in the game. The exact structure is open and will be
