The HR Manager will enhance overall HR operations and drive the execution of HR risk management strategies. You will work with the HR Team and other departmental leaders to proactively address HR challenges, foster a culture of accountability, and create a workplace that supports employee growth, engagement, and well-being. This role combines risk oversight with strategic influence to ensure HR processes are both efficient and aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures
· Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.
· Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution.
· Ensure the company’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
· Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as but not limited to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
· Design and implement employee retention strategies.
· Promote a culture of mutual trust, respect, and courtesy.
· Research compensation standards set by industry in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefits.
· Support initiatives that enhance organizational morale and employee engagement.
· Ensure employees across all locations are equipped with the tools, resources, and support to effectively complete their duties
· Cultivate a workplace where employees feel trusted and empowered, fostering trust in the company as well
· Foster an open-door policy with managers and executives to ensure transparency and approachability.
· Create, maintain, and update human resources documents, such as organizational charts, employee handbooks or directories, or performance evaluation forms.
· Play a critical role in the development and maintenance of company culture. Includes, but not limited to: organization/ planning events, and creation of team building events
· Stay informed on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Administer or oversee human resource programs, including:
· Compensation and total rewards
· Benefits and leave administration
· Disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations
· Employee recruitment and onboarding
· Performance and talent management
· Productivity, recognition, and morale
· Occupational health and safety, including Workers' Compensation reporting
· Training and development
Education:
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
· Master's degree preferred.
· SHRM-CP certification is required
· SHRM-SCP certification is highly preferred.
Experience:
· At least five years of human resource management experience is required.
· First-hand safety and risk management practices.
Skills:
· Extensive professional written communication skills.
· Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
· Ability to function as part of a collaborative team.
· Highly organized, self-directed, and motivated to manage own work.
· Proficient in managing various HR functions and collaborating with multiple teams.
