Overview We are looking for someone who can work 12-hour to 24-hour shifts, as the client requires 24-hour care. Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, hands-on care to individuals across various settings, including assisted living communities, nursing homes, and home health environments. Your energy and attention to detail will ensure residents and clients receive the highest quality of care, promoting their comfort, safety, and independence. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. Duties
- Assist residents and clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor patient observations closely, recording vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track health status accurately
- Administer medications and document medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility protocols
- Support patients with specialized needs such as catheter care, hospice care, Alzheimer’s or dementia care, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times
- Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to update medical documentation efficiently and accurately
- Provide companionship and emotional support while engaging residents in meaningful activities tailored to their needs
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks like laundry and meal preparation in accordance with health standards
Skills
- Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments with a strong understanding of senior care principles
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and vital signs monitoring
- Skilled in patient observation techniques and working effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory impairments
- Ability to operate EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems confidently for accurate documentation
- Certifications such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), HIPAA compliance training, and hospice or Alzheimer’s care certification are highly valued
- Experience using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or performing catheter care safely and compassionately
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and connect empathetically with patients and families
