We’re looking for a Sales Auditor who thrives at the intersection of technical skill and customer engagement. This role is ideal for someone experienced in home energy assessments who’s ready to take their career further through solution-based sales and NYSERDA program delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct on-site home energy audits in line with NYSERDA’s EmPower+ and Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® programs
- Assess insulation, air sealing opportunities, and building performance issues using diagnostic tools like blower doors and infrared cameras
- Educate homeowners about energy efficiency upgrades, available rebates, and financing options
- Prepare clear, compelling audit reports and guide clients through the recommended improvements
- Collaborate with our sales, operations, and installation teams to ensure smooth project handoffs
- Maintain clean, compliant documentation and reporting
What You Bring
- BPI Certification (Building Analyst or Envelope Professional) preferred
- Knowledge of NYSERDA’s EmPower+ programs
- Experience with home performance, insulation, or HVAC sales is a plus
- Strong communication and presentation skills—you can translate building science into homeowner language
- Familiarity with energy modeling software and audit tools
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer homes
