Sage International School Middleton- a public school of choice - is seeking applicants to fill a FULL TIME Front Desk Receptionist position for the 2026-2027 academic year at our Middleton campus.
Position Description:
The Front Desk Receptionist is a critical member of the Sage International School community and serves as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, visitors, and the broader community. This position plays an essential role in creating a welcoming, professional, safe, and inclusive school environment while supporting the daily operations of the school.
The ideal candidate understands that the front desk is more than an administrative function—it is a central hub for communication, student support, safety, and school culture. The Front Desk Receptionist will model the values of the IB Learner Profile and Sage International by demonstrating professionalism, respect, integrity, open-mindedness, cultural awareness, and commitment to student success.
This position requires a highly organized, dependable, and service-oriented individual who can manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced school environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred.
- Previous front office, receptionist, school office, administrative, or customer-service experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong telephone etiquette.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with students, families, staff, administrators, visitors, and community members.
- Ability to represent Sage International School Middleton with professionalism, warmth, discretion, and confidence.
- Strong technology skills, including proficiency with Google, email, spreadsheets, online systems, and digital records.
- Ability to learn and efficiently use school-specific student information, attendance, communication, and administrative systems.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with administrators, teachers, support staff, students, and families.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding student, family, staff, and school information.
- Demonstrated reliability, sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion.
- Ability to remain calm, composed, and solution-oriented in a busy school environment.

Major Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary greeter and first point of contact for students, families, staff, visitors, and community members.
- Create a welcoming, professional, and student-centered front office environment.
- Receive, screen, and appropriately route incoming telephone calls, emails, correspondence, and inquiries.
- Greet, sign in, and direct visitors in accordance with school safety and visitor procedures.
- Determine the appropriate staff member or administrator to assist with questions, concerns, or requests while maintaining appropriate boundaries and confidentiality.
- Monitor the front office and communicate important information to appropriate staff in a timely manner.
- Operate telephone, intercom, copier, scanner, laminator, and other office equipment.
- Issue and manage student identification badges and related materials.
- Assist students, families, and staff with routine questions and requests while knowing when to escalate concerns to administration.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain an organized, efficient, and professional front office.
- Perform other school related duties as required.
- Attend services and training sessions as required.
