Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are sanitized and ready for use. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure proper disposal of waste.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food prep duties to support the culinary team.
- Help with bussing tables during peak times to ensure a smooth flow of service.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping and mopping floors in the kitchen area.
Skills
- Previous experience in a hospitality or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Basic knowledge of culinary practices is a plus but not mandatory.
- Willingness to help out in various areas of the kitchen as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
