Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our MRI imaging business. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances, and maintaining accurate financial records. Duties
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy in account analysis and journal entries.
- Follow up with customers regarding overdue invoices through professional negotiation and phone etiquette, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Maintain detailed records of transactions, including data entry of payment information and account adjustments.
- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure proper CPT coding and medical billing procedures are followed for healthcare clients.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or delinquencies, escalating issues as needed for resolution.
- Assist with billing process to ensure team coverage.
- Support revenue cycle management efforts by tracking accounts payable and receivable activities across various financial software systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries related to billing, payments, or account status professionally and efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts receivable functions.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, and medical collection processes is highly desirable for healthcare-related roles.
- Excellent data entry skills with 10 key typing proficiency; strong math skills for financial analysis are essential.
- Ability to interpret complex financial statements.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills combined with effective phone etiquette for customer service interactions.
- Strong analysis skills to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: $24.09 - $29.01 per hour
