Oliver's Nannies is currently seeking an experienced, confident, and engaging nanny for a wonderful family located in the Metuchen/Edison area caring for their active and curious 1½-year-old daughter.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate is warm, professional, dependable, and able to confidently lead the day while maintaining structure and routine within the home. We are looking for a nanny with a strong leadership mentality who is comfortable taking initiative, maintaining consistency in care, and confidently navigating a busy household environment while remaining calm, respectful, and professional.
The family would love to find one consistent nanny who is available for both the weekday and weekend schedule, as continuity of care is very important to them. However, they are also open to candidates who are available for the weekday schedule and every other weekend if needed.
Schedule
Monday-Friday
- Typical hours: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM, may ask for nanny to come in a few hours early occasionally
Weekend Schedule (Preferred)
- Sunday: 3:00 PM – 7:30 PM
- occasional Saturdays, will give advanced notice
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing attentive and engaging toddler care.
- Creating age-appropriate activities and structured play.
- Supporting daily routines including meals, naps, and transitions.
- Maintaining a safe, positive, and organized environment.
- Light housekeeping related to the child.
- Meal and snack preparation.
- Communicating professionally with family members.
- Taking initiative and confidently guiding the day-to-day routine.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of professional childcare experience.
- Previous nanny experience strongly preferred.
- Toddler experience required.
- Reliable transportation.
- Strong communication and professionalism.
- Comfort working in a private home setting.
- Ability to adapt while maintaining consistency and structure.
- Dependable, confident, and proactive personality.
