Automotive Shop Secretary / Office Assistant
Job Summary:
The Automotive Shop Secretary is responsible for supporting daily shop operations by assisting customers, managing office tasks, and helping keep repair orders, communication, and records organized.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide professional customer service
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and communicate with customers
- Create and update customer information and repair orders
- Assist with estimates, invoices, payments, and paperwork
- Maintain organized records and shop documents
- Communicate repair updates between technicians and customers
- Handle emails, messages, and general office tasks
- Assist with parts lookup, ordering, and vendor communication
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient front office
- Support technicians and management with daily administrative needs
Required Qualifications:
- MUST have automotive-related experience
- MUST have knowledge of automotive parts and basic vehicle systems
- Ability to understand automotive terminology and communicate effectively with technicians and customers
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Organized, dependable, and able to multitask
- Basic computer skills required
- Experience with automotive shop software is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced repair shop environment

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
