Duties
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to expedite food orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of dishes to guests
- Organize and plate food items according to presentation standards, maintaining quality and consistency
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen personnel to relay special requests or modifications
- Monitor food quality, temperature, and presentation before serving to guests
- Manage food handling procedures in compliance with food safety regulations
- Use POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to track orders and update status during service shifts
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food handling, and safety protocols
- Proven experience in food expediting or restaurant service roles
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-energy environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Solid organizational skills for managing multiple orders simultaneously
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic numeracy for order accuracy and billing processes
- Previous banquet or large-event experience is a plus, demonstrating adaptability in diverse settings
- Culinary or hospitality background preferred, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
