Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to support facility operations and equipment upkeep. This role focuses on routine maintenance, coordination of repairs, and general facility support.
This is a practical, boots-on-the-ground position for someone who takes ownership, stays organized, and keeps things running smoothly without overcomplicating the job.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance

Perform routine maintenance including lighting, plumbing fixtures, HVAC filter changes, and minor repairs

Address general maintenance requests across the facility

Replace ceiling tiles, perform minor floor repairs, and handle basic upkeep tasks
Preventative Maintenance

Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment such as compressors, overhead doors, and support systems

Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records
Minor Equipment Repair

Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on fabrication, assembly, and support equipment

Communicate downtime and expected resolution timelines to operations leadership
Contractor Coordination

Identify when outside expertise is required

Source multiple vendors, obtain competitive quotes, and recommend selection

Schedule and coordinate contractor work to ensure quality, timeliness, and scope adherence
General Labor & Facility Support

Assist with moving furniture, setting up and tearing down tables for events, and other physical tasks

Support general plant organization and cleanliness
Grounds Maintenance

Perform light groundskeeping including weeding, salting sidewalks, and supplemental snow removal as needed

Fill gaps when contracted services are delayed or during heavy weather conditions
Inventory & Supplies

Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and critical spare parts
Safety Collaboration

Work with HR and safety personnel to identify and address facility-related safety concerns

Support corrective actions from audits and inspections
Qualifications

2+ years of general maintenance or facilities experience preferred

Strong mechanical aptitude; able to handle basic repairs independently

Experience coordinating contractors or vendors is a plus

Willingness to perform physical, hands-on work daily

Organized, dependable, and responsive

Able to prioritize tasks and follow through without constant supervision
