Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to sanitation standards
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and safety standards in production
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for various ingredients
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments
- Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining consistency in dish quality
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Experience with dietary department requirements or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Familiarity with menu planning, food handling, cleaning protocols, and catering services
