Job Summary

Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
- Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's, including behavior management strategies
- safely assist with transfers and mobility
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist residents during meal times
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments
- Strong knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, geriatrics, and developmental and mental disabilities
- Ability to perform CPR and First Aid confidently in emergency situations
- Excellent caregiving skills with a focus on compassion, patience, and effective communication
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and supporting residents during transfers or activities
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties when required
- Experience in medication administration and behavior management techniques
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in group home or community care settings
