This Is Not a “Service Job.” This Is a Command Post.
If you’re looking for a role where you “manage tickets,” keep scrolling.
If you’re wired to own outcomes, lead from the front, and build a world-class service machine—keep reading.
At Western Pump, service isn’t a department. It’s a competitive weapon.
We are looking for a battle-tested operator who can lead a high-performance field service division in one of the most demanding, highly regulated, and mission-critical industries: petroleum systems.
This role is for someone who thrives where pressure, precision, and accountability collide—and turns that into profit, loyalty, and dominance.
What You’ll Actually Own
This is an executive-level leadership role with full command over service operations, people, and performance.
Operational Command
- Run day-to-day service operations like a machine: dispatch, field execution, emergency response.
- Drive KPIs that matter: response time, first-time fix rate, utilization, margin.
- Build systems that scale—ERP, dispatch tech, field mobility tools.
Build & Lead A-Players
- Recruit, coach, and develop elite service managers and technicians.
- Create a culture of accountability, safety, and relentless improvement.
- Build bench strength and succession pipelines (no weak links).
Own the P&L
- Full accountability for service division profitability.
- Increase recurring revenue through maintenance contracts and compliance services.
- Optimize labor, pricing, and operational efficiency like a true operator.
Customer & Market Leadership
- Be the face of service to key clients, OEMs, and regulators.
- Turn escalations into loyalty.
- Partner with sales to win—and keep—high-value service contracts.
Safety & Compliance Authority
- Enforce a zero-incident culture across all operations.
- Own compliance across OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and local regulations.
- Lead from the front in high-risk, high-stakes environments.
Who You Are (Non-Negotiables)
You’re not learning this role. You’ve already lived it.
- Proven leader in petroleum, industrial service, or construction service operations
- Deep technical expertise in:
- Fueling systems (UST/AST, dispensers, piping, POS)
- Environmental & compliance systems
- Track record of:
- Scaling service teams
- Driving profitability
- Delivering operational excellence
- Strong command of KPIs, ERP systems, and service analytics
- Able to lead in chaos, make decisions under pressure, and execute fast
Bonus points if you:
- Have OEM, ICC, or safety certifications background
- Have built or transformed a service division before
What Success Looks Like
- You hit—and exceed—revenue and margin targets
- Your team operates with discipline and pride
- Customers trust you before problems happen
- Safety isn’t a metric—it’s a standard
- Service becomes a growth engine, not a cost center
