American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital setting in Urbana, IL, with new graduates welcome to apply.

Acute care hospital therapy unit
-
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM schedule
-
40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
-
Weekend and holiday shifts on a PRN basis as needed
-
No floating requirements

Epic EMR — experience required

Illinois PT license required (if applicable)

BLS certification (American Heart Association) required

Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
-
Level 1 trauma experience required
-
Epic EMR experience required

New graduates will be considered

Skills required include clinical documentation, physical therapy diagnosis, examination methods, screening procedures, supervision of support personnel, intervention planning, standardized outcomes measurement, family training, and collaboration with the medical team

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients of all ages, developing and modifying individualized plans of care, and adjusting treatment based on patient response and clinical evidence

Performs patient transfers and applies safe body mechanics to reduce risk of injury

Educates patients, families, caregivers, students, and other healthcare providers using effective teaching methods

Utilizes standardized outcomes measures and completes documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards

Supervises PTAs and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with regulatory guidelines
-
Communicates patient status, activity recommendations, and discharge disposition needs with the broader medical team

Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract

Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 year continuously at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning
