Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly and energetic Harvest Grill Host/Hostess to welcome guests and ensure they have a fantastic experience from the moment they arrive. In this role, you will be the first point of contact, managing reservations, coordinating seating, and providing guest services that make everyone feel at home. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and eager to create a warm atmosphere that keeps our guests coming back.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and comfort.
- Manage restaurant reservation systems efficiently, including booking, modifying, and confirming reservations using restaurant table management systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Maintain clear communication with the dining team to ensure timely seating and smooth service.
- Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously.
- Keep the host/hostess area organized and tidy while adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist with managing waitlists during busy periods to ensure efficient table turnover.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing reservations and seating arrangements.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest interaction.
- Basic math skills for handling reservations and table management tasks accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices.
- A positive attitude with a passion for providing outstanding guest services in a welcoming environment.
