Minneapolis Glass is seeking an experienced Controller who wants to do more than manage the numbers-you'll help shape where the business goes next.

This is a highly visible leadership role reporting directly to the President. As a member of the Leadership Team, you'll partner with company leaders, ownership, and the Board of Directors to strengthen financial performance and help guide the long-term direction of Minneapolis Glass. You'll have the opportunity to influence decisions across the organization while leading the accounting and finance function.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As Controller, you'll lead our accounting and finance function while serving as a strategic financial partner to the President and Leadership Team. You'll oversee a talented accounting team, strengthen our financial processes and systems, and turn financial information into insights that help us make better business decisions.
Responsibilities include:

Serve as a key member of the Leadership Team, providing financial insight and strategic recommendations that support company goals.

Prepare meaningful financial reporting and analysis for leadership and ownership.

Turn financial and operational data into actionable insights by identifying trends, opportunities, and areas requiring attention.

Analyze revenue, expenses, working capital, cash flow, forecasts, KPIs, and operating practices to help drive improved performance.

Lead the company's accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit and collections, payroll, inventory costing, fixed assets, treasury, and month-end close.

Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts while partnering with department leaders to build accountability and improve financial decision-making.

Establish and maintain strong internal controls that safeguard company assets and support accurate financial reporting.

Manage relationships with our independent accounting firm and support tax compliance and planning activities.

Develop ROI analysis for capital investments and provide recommendations to ownership regarding asset acquisitions and expansion opportunities.

Build, coach, & develop the accounting team with clear expectations and accountability.

Serve as the organization's Acumatica "super user" and help us get more value from our financial systems.

Continually look for ways to improve productivity, reduce costs, strengthen processes, and support profitable growth.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; MSA, MBA and/or CPA is a plus.

15+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.

5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or construction environment.

3+ years leading an accounting or finance team.

Strong experience with general ledger, budgeting, cost accounting, credit and collections, and financial management. Experience with project cost accounting.

Proficiency with financial systems and Excel skills. Acumatica familiarity is ideal.

Experience in a privately held or family-owned business is a plus.

Previous experience as part of a senior management or leadership team is preferred.
