Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the restaurant management in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the food industry, with experience in both quick service and fine dining environments.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including staff supervision and scheduling.
- Oversee food preparation and processes to ensure quality and consistency.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Utilize POS system such as TOAST for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Train, develop, and mentor staff in food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Participate in budgeting activities and financial reporting to support restaurant profitability.
- Collaborate with the management team on menu planning, food production, and catering events.
- Support marketing initiatives to promote restaurant offerings and increase customer engagement.
- Support Store in Marketing initiatives
- Grow Catering and Community awareness
Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in restaurant management or as an assistant manager in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong background in food service management with knowledge of culinary practices.
- Experience in supervising teams, training staff, and conducting interviews.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes and budgeting within the food industry.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
