We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our RMF team and contribute to the production of high-quality industrial equipment. The Welder will be responsible for using various welding techniques to fabricate and assemble metal components according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, a safety-conscious mindset, and a passion for precision welding.
Responsibilities:
- Welding Operations: Perform various types of welding processes, including MIG, TIG, stick, and spot welding, to join metals accurately and efficiently.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Material Preparation: Prepare workpieces by cleaning, cutting, and shaping metal components to meet project requirements and ensure optimal weld quality.
- Welding Equipment Maintenance: Set up, adjust, and maintain welding equipment and tools to ensure safe and effective operation. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Quality Control: Inspect welds for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to quality standards. Identify and address any defects or inconsistencies in the welding process.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Project Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering and production teams to provide input on design feasibility, recommend welding techniques, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Efficiency and Productivity: Execute welding tasks efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines while maintaining high levels of workmanship.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including weld logs, inspection reports, and material usage, to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends, advancements in welding technology, and safety practices to enhance your skills and contribute to the team's growth.
- Operate Basic and Powered Hand Tools: Drills, Saws, Disc/handheld grinders, torches ect.
- Punctual: Must show up on time for shifts, and consistently show up for shifts
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Welder, demonstrating proficiency in MIG and TIG welding Stainless Steel and other materials.
- Knowledge of different metal types, properties, and appropriate welding methods for each.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot welding-related issues.
- Welding certification(s) preferred but not mandatory.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to producing high-quality work and meeting production targets.
- Ability to operate and maintain welding equipment and tools effectively.
- Detail-oriented with excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and practices in a welding environment.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and carry heavy materials (50 lbs.) for full shift.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational or technical training preferred.
