The Transmission Puller is responsible for safely removing transmissions, transfer cases, and related drivetrain components from vehicles. This position requires mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced automotive shop while following all safety procedures. Key Responsibilities: Remove automatic and manual transmissions from a variety of vehicles. Disconnect and remove driveshafts, crossmembers, exhaust components, wiring harnesses, and related parts. Inspect removed components for damage or excessive wear. Label, organize, and prepare parts for rebuilding, repair, or replacement. Use lifts, jacks, hand tools, power tools, and specialty equipment safely and correctly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow shop procedures and manufacturer specifications. Assist technicians with related mechanical tasks as needed. Report damaged or missing parts to the shop manager or lead technician. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous automotive or transmission shop experience preferred. Basic knowledge of automotive drivetrains and mechanical systems. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in physically demanding conditions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Valid driver's license preferred. Skills: Mechanical aptitude. Safe use of hand and power tools. Time management and efficiency. Dependability and strong work ethic. Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
