As a DSP II, you will provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and other related conditions. This role requires experience working with individuals who may exhibit challenging behaviors and the ability to assist with daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Provide compassionate care and supervision in a residential group home setting

Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, toileting, hygiene, and dressing

Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed

Support household responsibilities, including cleaning and organization

Implement behavior support strategies and de-escalation techniques when necessary

Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions
-
Maintain accurate documentation and timekeeping

Transport clients safely using company-provided vehicles as required
Candidates must meet one of the following experience levels:
ICF Level
-
Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
CCL Level
-
Minimum 6 months of experience working with individuals who exhibit behavioral challenges
-
Confidence managing behaviors and providing appropriate support
RF Level
-
More than 1 year of intensive experience supporting individuals with IDD

Strong background managing high-acuity behaviors and de-escalation situations

Valid driver's license required

Ability to pass all required screenings

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Compassionate, patient, and dependable work ethic

Two days of paid online training at headquarters

In-house shadowing and onboarding experience

First day: Report to headquarters with a valid driver's license

Business casual attire at headquarters; casual attire in residential homes
Qualified candidates will participate in an in-person interview with the House Manager, conducted either at the residential home or company headquarters.

The Direct Support Personnel II assists individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with growth and development of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living in the home, community or residential setting. The Direct Support Personnel II works directly with the resident and provides supports for activities of daily living and adaptive skills. The Direct Support Personnel II should follow the guidance of the resident/ patients Individual Service Plan.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or its equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid and current auto insurance
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks
