Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Collision Estimator to join our automotive repair team. In this role, you will be the key point of contact for customers and insurance adjusters, assessing vehicle damage and creating accurate repair estimates. Your expertise will help streamline the repair process, ensure customer satisfaction, and maximize shop profitability. This is a salary Job at an independent body shop that has been open for over 40 years.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the extent of collision repairs needed
- Utilize computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software to prepare detailed repair estimates i.e. CCC One, Parts Trader....
- Communicate clearly with customers, insurance companies, and technicians to explain repair procedures and costs
- Collaborate with mechanics and service technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and efficient repairs
- Manage the entire estimating process from initial assessment to final approval, including deal with insurance claims
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, customer interactions, and repair documentation
- Assist in vehicle drop-off and pick-up processes while providing excellent customer service
Skills
- Proven experience in auto estimating software and collision repair processes
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain technical details clearly
- Dealership experience or automotive repair background is highly desirable
- Knowledge of auto service management practices including cash handling and service writing
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for client visits or vehicle inspections
- Proficiency in computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools and estimating software platforms

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
