Position Summary
The Dental Treatment Coordinator plays a key role in helping patients understand and move forward with their recommended dental care. In this role, you will guide patients through treatment planning, financial arrangements, insurance questions, and scheduling, while helping create a smooth and positive experience throughout their visit.
You will serve as a trusted point of contact for patients, helping them feel informed, comfortable, and confident about their treatment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and help guide them through the treatment process
- Present treatment plans clearly and professionally
- Explain procedures, treatment timelines, and financial options in an easy-to-understand way
- Verify insurance benefits and review estimated patient responsibilities
- Discuss payment options, financing, and arrangements to support treatment acceptance
- Schedule appointments and follow up with patients regarding pending treatment
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Coordinate closely with the doctor, clinical team, and front office to ensure excellent patient flow and communication
- Address patient questions and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and urgency
- Support patient retention and practice growth through strong follow-up and service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental office, treatment coordinator role.
- Knowledge of general dental procedures, treatment planning, and dental insurance processes preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to explain treatment and financial information clearly and confidently
- Highly organized with strong multitasking skills
- Positive attitude and strong customer service mindset
- Bilingual is a plus, but not required
- Experience with dental practice management software is preferred
