Responsibilities
- Lead daily restaurant operations, including managing staff schedules, overseeing food preparation, and ensuring smooth shift transitions.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality control across all kitchen and service areas.
- Supervise and train team members in food handling, customer service, and hospitality best practices.
- Control inventory levels through effective stock management, ordering supplies as needed to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Handle cash management duties such as cash handling, balancing registers, and reconciling sales reports accurately.
- Implement staff training programs to develop culinary skills, customer service excellence, and operational efficiency.
- Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction; develop strategies accordingly.
- Oversee hiring processes including interviewing candidates for various roles such as servers, cooks, bartenders, and assistant managers.
- Manage restaurant marketing initiatives to attract new customers while maintaining excellent relationships with existing patrons.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health codes while fostering a safe working environment for all staff members.
Skills
- Extensive experience in food industry standards.
- Strong background in quick service & fast food restaurant operations.
- Proven management skills with experience supervising teams within hospitality or restaurant settings.
- Expertise in inventory control, food safety management, and kitchen management practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability in staff training & development, team leadership, and managing hospitality teams effectively.
- Competence in budgeting, profit & loss analysis, shift management, and operational planning.
- Knowledge of catering services, banquet operations, bar experience including barista or coffee expertise is a plus.
- Ability to lead with energy and motivation while maintaining high standards of quality and service excellence.
