Automotive Technician / Mechanic – In-House (Urgent Hire)

Job Summary
A fast-growing used car dealership is urgently hiring an experienced in-house mechanic to handle diagnostics, repairs, and prepping vehicles for sale. We are looking for someone reliable, skilled, and ready to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on used vehicles
- Perform repairs including brakes, suspension, tune-ups, belts, gaskets, cooling systems, etc.
- Conduct full vehicle inspections before sale
- Maintain and organize shop workspace
- Complete repairs efficiently to support fast inventory turnover
- Communicate issues found and recommended repairs
- Test-drive vehicles to confirm proper operation
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Own tools preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with multiple makes and models
- Previous dealership or used-car-lot experience
- ASE certifications (optional)
Pay: $17.00 - $32.25 per hour
