We are seeking an experienced Lead Dental Assistant to support daily clinical operations while helping train and mentor the dental assisting team. This full-time opportunity pays $25–$30 per hour, based on experience, and includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires.
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, patient-focused, and comfortable taking on leadership responsibilities in a busy dental practice.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists with general, pediatric, restorative, endodontic, and prosthodontic procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, equipment, and materials.
- Take dental X-rays/radiographs and maintain accurate patient records.
- Follow sterilization, infection-control, HIPAA, and safety standards.
- Train and onboard new Dental Assistants on clinical procedures and office protocols.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and day-to-day support to the dental assisting team.
- Help coordinate clinical workflow, room readiness, supplies, and team coverage.
- Promote a positive patient experience and collaborative work environment.
- Support scheduling and patient communication as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous Dental Assistant experience in a clinical setting.
- Lead Dental Assistant, training, mentoring, or senior-level experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of chairside assisting, dental terminology, radiographs, and sterilization procedures.
- Experience with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Epic, or similar systems preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- CPR/BLS certification preferred.
