Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks in commercial, industrial, and residential settings, contributing to the overall upkeep of the premises.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Perform floor care duties such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming to ensure surfaces are clean and presentable.
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as needed, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Assist with custodial duties including trash removal, dusting surfaces, and sanitizing high-touch areas.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient cleaning operations and address any special requests from clients or management.
- Occasionally assist with residential painting projects as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean and safe environment.
