Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Window Tinter to join our dynamic automotive team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality window tinting films to vehicles, enhancing both aesthetics and privacy while improving heat rejection and UV protection. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction through precise installation and professional service. Duties
- Prepare vehicles for tinting by cleaning windows thoroughly and ensuring surfaces are free of dust, grease, and debris.
- Measure and cut tinting film accurately using manual glass cutting tools to fit various vehicle window sizes.
- Apply automotive window tinting film with precision, ensuring smooth, bubble-free finishes while adhering to safety standards.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely during installation, including squeegees, heat guns, and trimming devices.
- Assist with auto glass replacement, repair, and fitting as needed, supporting overall vehicle glass services.
- Handle glass materials carefully during installation or replacement, maintaining proper inventory and storage procedures.
- Operate company vehicles safely when transporting vehicles or equipment to job sites.
- Perform vehicle detailing and minor auto body repairs to ensure the vehicle’s appearance meets customer expectations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety protocols related to power tool usage and glass handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining tinting options, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process.
Experience
- Prior dealership experience or automotive service background is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with automotive glass installation, repair, or auto body work is advantageous.
- Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) considerations during glass work is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools and power tools enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Familiarity with automotive repair procedures, auto estimating processes, and vehicle maintenance practices is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy glass panels or equipment.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude toward clients and team members.
- Experience in auto estimating software or auto body repair systems is a bonus but not required.
