Manage the team responsible for design, construction administration, and overall project management. Responsible for making sure the team produces accurate design packages, construction is of high quality and adheres to the design drawings, and manages schedule, budget, and client satisfaction . Oversees the coordination with the mechanical, electrical, and structural engineers and sub consultants during both design and construction. Maintain the project schedule.
Responsibilities
- Oversee design team field visits to residences. Specifically, manage the production of floor plans of as-built conditions, showing the locations, sizes and quantities of windows and doors and other conditions.
- Coordinate with the mechanical, electrical, and structural subconsultants.
- Oversee and perform QA/QC of drawings.
- Ensure that construction documents are prepared according to client requirements, regulatory codes, and quality control standards.
- Responsible for knowing the project work scope, project policies, Code compliance issues, and internal budgets with the ability to produce quality work within those constraints.
- Know and understand firm wide quality and design standards and incorporate these standards into the work.
- Work in collaboration with Project Manager and members of the project team.
- Stay abreast of new developments with Revit, construction document production, and construction management software to ensure project process efficiencies.
- Ensure that all necessary background information from the field and elsewhere is gathered in a timely fashion, reviewed, and incorporated into the project documents.
Specific Job Tasks:
- Oversee and manage the design and construction administration teams to ensure complete information is gathered for projects; collect additional information from other sources as required.
- Oversee the preparation of and coordination of the contract documents.
- Run team meetings and manage project schedule.
- Work and communicate with stakeholders, including property owners.
- Conduct quality control reviews.
Qualifications
- Good interpersonal communication skills

- Knowledge of Building Code and AHJ requirements
- Knowledge of Procore
- Aptitude for working in both the field and office settings
- Valid CA drivers’ license
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
