About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee ground-up multifamily construction projects throughout the Los Angeles area. This individual will play a critical leadership role in managing field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring high-quality execution from site development through project completion.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing large-scale multifamily developments, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Manage all on-site construction activities for ground-up multifamily projects
- Oversee subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure quality workmanship and productivity
- Maintain project schedules and coordinate daily/weekly construction activities
- Conduct regular site meetings with project teams and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety standards
- Coordinate inspections, permits, and code compliance requirements
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents for accuracy and constructability
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize delays
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and Ownership teams
- Monitor project quality control and ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications
- Maintain accurate daily reports, progress updates, and site documentation
- Assist with project turnover, punch lists, and closeout activities
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience on ground-up multifamily construction projects
- Experience managing projects ranging from podium, wrap, mixed-use, or large apartment developments preferred
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field coordination
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proven experience managing subcontractors and maintaining project schedules
- Knowledge of California building codes and OSHA regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency with construction management software is preferred
- Stable work history with reputable general contractors preferred
