Physical Therapy Aide Job description:
Busy outpatient physical therapy clinic is looking for a motivated individual to work as a physical therapy aide in our Needham and Watertown locations. The ideal candidate will have a college degree in Exercise Science (or related field) and an interest in physical therapy. Job Duties:
- Assist clinical staff with following plan of care for patients as directed by the PT or PTA. Treatment may include: exercise instruction, manual therapy techniques, various modalities, and education on posture, ergonomics, and body mechanics
- Assist administrative staff by scheduling patients, answering phones, assisting patients with intake and calling patients to maintain communication at the therapist’s direction.
- Other tasks include cleaning/disinfecting tables and equipment, maintaining supply of towels and pillowcases in appropriate area, washing/folding laundry where applicable, communicating with clinic director when supplies are low
