Compensation
Competitive and Negotiable
Compensation is based on experience, availability, and preferred practice model. We are open to discussing a variety of payment arrangements, including:
- Percentage of collections
- Per-patient compensation
- Hourly compensation
- Daily or half-day rates
- Other mutually agreed-upon 1099 compensation models
Our goal is to create a compensation package that is fair, competitive, and aligned with the physician's experience and professional goals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations.
- Diagnose and treat a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
- Provide follow-up medication management visits.
- Collaborate with PMHNPs, therapists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide physician collaboration, mentorship, and clinical guidance to PMHNPs.
- Teach and support PMHNP students and other clinical learners as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic health record (SimplePractice).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support a culture of clinical excellence.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Active, unrestricted Texas Medical License.
- Current DEA registration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to provide in-person psychiatric care at our Wylie, Texas office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience treating children and adolescents.
- Experience providing telepsychiatry services.
- Experience collaborating with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs).
- Interest in mentoring, teaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
