The uniqueness of The Vineta Hotel requires a Night Houseperson-Public Area Attendant with personality underscored by the highest degree of people acumen to provide an immaculate experience in regard to in-room-dinning order delivery, cleaning, servicing, and maintaining all guest accommodations, back of the house, and all public areas of the hotel during the night shift while ensuring compliance with company’s elevated expectations and Leading Quality Assurance standards (LQA).
Clean and stock all assigned public areas of the hotel including all corridors, elevators and landings, stairwells, balconies, patios, public bathrooms, restaurants, pool area, offices, and all service areas including on guest room floors. Remove trash, wipe down shelves/counters; sweep and mop floor; remove non-floor closet items and transport them to proper storage areas.

Timely provide linen supplies, stock floor closets, deliver and retrieve items requested by guests and room attendants.
Safely and efficiently transport guest luggage to and from their rooms, ensuring items are managed with care.
Ensure that equipment is maintained and checked for proper functioning in collaboration with the Engineering department.
Ensure, before each intervention in the room (cleaning, maintenance, linen delivery, etc.) that the guest is not present or, when present, that the guest’s privacy is respected.
Deliver in-room-dining orders to guest rooms promptly and to the highest standard of presentation.
Transport room service trays/items from guest rooms/hallways to the appropriate location.
Maintain good relations and communicates effectively with all departments within the hotel to create an atmosphere conducive to teamwork. Work closely with the Front Office, Maintenance, and Food and Beverage to coordinate implementation of rooms, as well as cleaning schedules for special events and high-traffic areas.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Wear appropriate clothing/uniform/PPE for the type of cleaning to be conducted.
Inspect all furniture for dust, debris, foreign particles, tears, rips and stains and clean/remove/report damages to supervisor.
Inspect, dust, and clean pictures frames, mirrors, fire extinguisher boxes, exit signs, air vents, windows, baseboards, corners, ledges, phones, drapes, doors, planters and plants, lamps, light fixtures, and light switches. Polish all brass surfaces to a high gloss.
Ensure security of guest room access and hotel property; turn over any lost and found items to the supervisor.
Install cleaned or new drapes, make up cribs and rollaway beds and transport them to designated rooms, turn mattress and box springs according to rotation schedule.
Maintain storage closet inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; complete requisition for low inventory supplies and submit to supervisor.
Drive company vehicle, to and from storage and laundry facility to gather and deliver linen and supplies.
Review and prioritize assignment checklist ensuring completion and closing of all assigned duties before leaving for the day.
Ensure that personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team and reflect a professional image for our guests.
Minimum 1 year of work experience in a similar capacity with an understanding of luxury hotel standards of service.
High school graduate or equivalent vocational training.
Must possess a valid, unrestricted, and insurable Florida Driver’s License in good standing.
Able to comprehend, read, write and speak basic English including workplace policies, job instructions, departmental and safety. Ability to clearly communicate with guests and hoteliers.
Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
Ability to frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and handling objects and equipment; push, pull, grasp, lift or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
