Electrical Foreman
Electrical Foreman - $30-$50/hr - DOE
Seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead NYC field crews, manage installations to NYC code and DOB requirements, ensure jobsite safety, coordinate with contractors/inspectors, and keep projects on schedule and budget.

Job Duties:
- Supervise, schedule, and mentor electrical journeymen and apprentices across NYC job sites.
- Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, shop drawings, and specs for commercial/residential projects.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, prepare daily crew reports, and communicate status to project management.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NYC Electrical Code/DOB rules, DOB filings/permit requirements, and local utility (Con Edison) coordination.
- Enforce NYC site safety rules, conduct toolbox talks, ensure PPE and fall protection, and maintain OSHA and Local Law training compliance
- Coordinate inspections and sign-offs with DOB inspectors and other agencies; manage punchlists and corrective work.
- Troubleshoot systems (lighting, feeders, panels, motor controls, grounding) and perform quality inspections prior to sign-off.
- Track labor, material usage, and assist with cost control and timekeeping.
- Train crew on best practices and mentor apprentices.
Electrical Foreman Requirements:
- OSHA 30, Site Safety Training (SST) / Local Law 196 or equivalent preferred; CPR/First Aid a plus.
- 5+ years electrical field experience, with minimum 2 years in a supervisory/foreman role.
- NYC Master Electrician, NYS licensed electrician, or journeyman with NYC experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of NEC and NYC Electrical Code, conduit/cable installation, panels, lighting, and grounding.
- Experience with DOB permitting/inspection process, Con Edison coordination, and site logistics in NYC.
Compensation:
- Competitive starting pay $30 - $50/hr or depending on experience
