Position Summary
Responsible for all aspects of product preparation, quality, and presentation, ensuring consistently exceptional execution aligned with Magnolia Bakery’s standards. This role upholds brand integrity, product excellence, and customer experience while living the company’s SWEET mission and values in every detail of production and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Development
- Hire, manage and oversee bakers, cake icers and prep cooks.
- Supervise, train, and inspire the bakery team to uphold Magnolia Bakery’s standards.
- Build and maintain a positive, collaborative, and efficient bakery culture.
- Manage scheduling, staffing, and labor costs within established guidelines.
- Responsible for training of all BOH staff, and skill set maintenance.
-Production & Quality Assurance
- Oversee and assist the daily production of cakes, cupcakes, banana pudding, cookies, and seasonal offerings.
- Ensure all recipes and methods are executed with precision, consistency, and efficiency.
- Monitor ingredient usage and control waste to meet food cost targets and store profitability.
- Maintain exceptional product presentation and uphold brand integrity.
-Operational Excellence
- Manages and works in bakery preparations, icing and prep as needed.
- Partner with Magnolia Bakery culinary leadership on menu innovation and seasonal launches.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships for bakery supplies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production challenges quickly and effectively.
- Works with store management on proper workflow, staff training and accountability for product execution per standards set forth in the Magnolia Bakery Manual.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth coordination of product availability.
- Partner with corporate culinary and operations teams to roll out new initiatives.
- Works closely with management team to ensure that bakers and icers are correctly executing recipes, following safety standards, and aiding by all company policies and procedures.
- Community involvement and Special Events including demonstrations, charity participation events and fundraisers.
-Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Position requires standing and walking for period of 3-5 hours without a rest break.
- Occasional moderate to heavy lifting and carrying, bending, and reaching overhead may be required.
- Work environment includes working with hot cooking equipment.
-Performance Bonus
Monthly Performance Bonus: Up to $1,000 monthly bonus ($12,000 annually)
At Magnolia Bakery, we believe exceptional performance should be rewarded through measurable results. In addition to a competitive base salary, the Production Manager is eligible to earn a monthly performance bonus based on key operational and business objectives.
This bonus program rewards leaders who consistently drive sales, control costs, uphold Magnolia Bakery's quality standards, develop efficient operations, and deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
