Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as our established policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
Manage inventory, receive and store deliveries, and maintain accurate records of food preparation and storage.
Collaborate with the Food Service Director and other team members to ensure smooth food service operations.
Develop and implement new menu items and recipes, while maintaining our commitment to quality and variety.
Requirements:
Previous cooking experience in a commercial kitchen, healthcare facility, nursing home, or food service environment preferred.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling practices, with the ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen in compliance with applicable regulations.
Ability to work independently on night shifts, manage food preparation efficiently, and collaborate effectively with the Food Service Director and kitchen team.
