Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Construction Manager specializing in Single Family residential projects. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple homebuilding sites within your designated area. Your leadership will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in strict compliance with safety and quality standards. Duties
- Lead and manage multiple single-family home construction projects from inception through completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate project schedules using construction scheduling tools to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
- Oversee subcontractor and vendor relationships, ensuring contractual obligations are met and work progresses smoothly on-site.
- Monitor construction site safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and contracts to verify project specifications and facilitate accurate cost estimation using HeavyBid or comparable estimating software.
- Manage project budgets by tracking costs, controlling expenses, and implementing cost management strategies effectively.
- Facilitate communication between project teams, clients, architects, and suppliers to ensure seamless project coordination.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam for documentation, progress tracking, and reporting purposes.
- Ensure construction schedule coordination across multiple sites while managing project timelines efficiently to meet delivery milestones.
Skills
- Extensive experience with construction management software
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, project scheduling, and cost management principles specific to single-family residential projects.
- Proven ability to manage teams in a construction management role with excellent leadership skills in managing complex infrastructure projects.
- Deep understanding of construction regulatory compliance standards and safety protocols on residential sites.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, contract review, and project documentation practices.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing construction budgets, project scheduling coordination, and ensuring high-quality deliverables within scope.
- Effective communicator capable of fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders including clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
