Job Overview:
Venom Foundation Inc. is seeking a passionate and organized Event Coordinator to help plan and deliver community events that support our mission of empowering children and families through education, mentorship, recreation, and healthy living. The Event Coordinator will oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events, youth activities, community outreach programs, tennis tournaments, and volunteer initiatives while ensuring each event provides a safe, engaging, and positive experience for participants. The organization regularly hosts youth programs, recreational activities, volunteer opportunities, and its annual Maggie Coffee Memorial Tournament.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and execute community events, fundraising campaigns, youth programs, and annual tournaments.
- Coordinate event logistics, including venue reservations, equipment, vendors, permits, and event schedules.
- Recruit, schedule, and supervise volunteers before and during events.
- Work closely with community partners, sponsors, donors, and local organizations.
- Manage event budgets and monitor expenses.
- Coordinate event registration, guest communications, and participant support.
- Develop event timelines and ensure all activities are completed on schedule.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through social media, email campaigns, and community outreach.
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and nonprofit policies.
- Prepare post-event reports, including attendance, fundraising results, and recommendations for future improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in event planning, nonprofit organizations, community outreach, or project coordination.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience coordinating volunteers is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends when events are scheduled.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
Pay: $22.40 - $26.00 per hour
