Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Associate to join our dynamic logistics and supply chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock control, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. Your expertise will contribute to optimizing supply chain processes, reducing costs, and maintaining seamless product flow across various channels. Duties
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400 or SAP.
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and audits to verify inventory accuracy.
- Analyze inventory data through tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel data analysis to identify discrepancies and root causes.
- Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to forecast demand, support demand planning, and optimize stock levels.
- Manage logistics inventory processes including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and order fulfillment.
- Utilize data mining and analytics techniques to support category management, pricing strategies, and supply chain analytics.
- Coordinate with warehouse operations for materials handling, stocking procedures, and materials management.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows and recommending efficiencies.
- Support supplier management efforts by evaluating vendor performance and negotiating procurement contracts.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during heavy lifting or materials handling activities.
- Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions using spreadsheets or inventory management software.
Skills
- Extensive experience with warehouse distribution, warehouse management systems (WMS), and ERP systems such as AS400 or SAP.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau; skilled in Excel data analysis.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles including demand planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory control.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements effectively.
- Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts; safety awareness during heavy lifting activities.
- Competence in financial analysis related to pricing strategies, financial modeling, and supply chain analytics.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills for collaborating with procurement, merchandising, logistics, and warehouse teams.
- Experience with sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, and supplier management.
- Technical proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., MRPII systems), SQL for data extraction, and data collection techniques.
- Strong mathematical skills for demand forecasting and production planning; ability to analyze complex datasets.
- Knowledge of retail management practices including e-commerce fulfillment and shipping & receiving operations.
- Ability to adapt quickly to evolving supply chain technologies such as Tableau or Nielsen data platforms.
