Lead Technician
Job Summary
I am looking for a lead service technician who is experienced and dedicated to performing complex repairs and maintenance on today’s vehicles, while leading a team of technicians. This role requires advanced diagnostic skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for the automotive industry, along with the appropriate tools and equipment. Your daily contributions are an integral part of our success.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of automotive technicians, ensuring high-quality repairs and services.

Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.

Oversee the completion of vehicle inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs in a timely manner.

Ensure the team follows proper procedures for safety, cleanliness, and vehicle handling.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise in the service department.

Providing training and technical guidance to junior technicians.

Manage repair orders, ensuring they are completed with accuracy and within budget.

Communicate with service advisor and customers when necessary regarding vehicle issues and needed repairs and maintenance services.

Assist with inventory management and ordering of necessary parts.

Maintaining a high standard of customer service and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
-
High School diploma or equivalent, ASE Master Certification preffered.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as an automotive technician with minimum 2 years in a leadership role.

Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, repair procedures and vehicle maintenance.

Strong knowledge of automotive sysems and troubleshooting techniques.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks at a time.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual labor type tasks.

Ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoor and outdoor.

Ability to adapt to working in less than optimal conditions and positions at times.
