Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a highly specialized role for an Advanced MBSE Systems Engineer, dedicated to advancing nuclear command, control, and communications systems. Position: Advanced MBSE Systems Engineer
Contract Length: 12-24 months with possibility of going direct
Pay: $61.19 per hour
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master’s Degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Schedule: First Shift
Clearance Requirement: Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required at the time of hire. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be U.S. citizens.
In this role, you will use your technical and interpersonal skills to:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of next-generation Strategic Weapon Systems utilizing cutting-edge MBSE methodologies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive SysML models, including behavioral, structural, and requirements diagrams, to support system architecture and integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system interfaces, perform trade studies, and decompose complex functions.
- Apply digital engineering practices within DoD architecture frameworks such as DoDAF to ensure system interoperability and compliance.
- Leverage requirements management tools to trace and validate system specifications throughout the development lifecycle.
- Innovate by integrating AI-driven approaches and digital engineering techniques to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Communicate complex system designs effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Extensive experience with MBSE tools, especially Cameo Systems Modeler, and proficiency in SysML modeling.
- Deep understanding of systems engineering principles, including functional decomposition, interface definition, and trade study analysis within defense systems.
- Strong expertise in requirements management platforms such as DOORS and their integration with system models.
- Familiarity with DoDAF or similar architecture frameworks supporting digital engineering initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead complex system architecture projects in high-security environments.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills tailored to aerospace defense projects.
- Commitment to continuous professional development in MBSE, digital engineering, and emerging defense technologies.
