The Lead Banquet Houseman is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and general appearance of event spaces and public areas of the property as well as leading the houseman team through the setup and breakdown of event spaces.
The ideal candidate will be passionate, enthusiastic with an attention to detail and ability to deliver the highest standards of service for our guests.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
We are looking for an individual who will provide professional and courteous service at all times. The ideal candidate is reliable, hands-on, with strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with professionalism and poise.
· At least 2 years full service event facility background preferred
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Proactive and able to work in a team-oriented setting
· Highly responsible and reliable
· Able to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends
· Able to work in a high volume, fast-paced, guest focused environment
Core Duties:
This is intended to represent the key duties for this position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Oversee and participate in the transport, setup/breakdown, and proper storage of event equipment including tables, linens, and chairs in a timely manner according to Banquet Event Order/Diagrams; maintain accurate inventory, and quickly respond to BEO changes when necessary due to weather etc.
· Perform routine cleaning, organization, and maintenance of common gathering spaces: stairwells, hallways, coat room, event rooms, lobby/foyer areas, supply/storage closets and other spaces, as needed
· Maintain integrity and presentation quality of event spaces, tables, chairs and floors
· Steam event linens; Clean and remove spots from corridor walls, doors, and other common areas; regularly clean glass and mirrors; vacuum, sweep, and mop common spaces, event spaces etc.
· Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs on a regular basis required
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
