Portland Nursery is looking for an experienced Production Department Manager! This position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of employees and will be expected to carry out the full spectrum of leadership responsibilities in accordance with the company policies and procedures. Prior nursery experience is required.
Job Requirements:
· Support company policies and priorities.
· Interview, hire, supervise and train staff on customer service, POS, phones, radio, and other related systems to ensure that established procedures are followed.
· Responsible for prioritizing and communicating departmental needs to staff - watering, signage, stocking, etc.
· Ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship with staff.
· Establish and maintain high standards of plant quality.
· Conduct employee reviews.
· Coordinate seasonal construction and change of displays.
· Sustain a positive and customer focused work environment.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
