Role Overview / Purpose and Scope
The Electrical Maintenance Superintendent is a key member of the Farmer Focus Maintenance leadership team. This position oversees and effectively manages electrical maintenance responsibilities to ensure production machinery operates safely, reliably, and at optimal capacity. The Electrical Maintenance Superintendent provides leadership and direction to the electrical team, supervises shift, and ensures repair needs are completed properly and on time.
This role is responsible for managing industrial electrical systems, supporting maximum plant capacity, minimizing costs, reducing unscheduled downtime, and sustaining positive working relationships with production and operating teams. The Electrical Maintenance Superintendent provides day-to-day support for troubleshooting, problem analysis, equipment failures, and facility-related electrical needs while promoting a safe, efficient, and high-performing plant environment.
Provide leadership, direction, and day-to-day supervision for electrical team members to ensure safe, timely, and effective electrical operations.
Manage electrical systems with a focus on maximizing plant capacity, minimizing costs, improving equipment reliability, and reducing unscheduled downtime.
Oversee repairs, installations, troubleshooting, and equipment failure analysis to support smooth daily plant operations with minimal repetitive issues.
Manage electrical staff through delegation, policy and procedure administration, assignment of work responsibilities, planning, organizing, directing, and follow-up of work assignments.
Provide solutions and day-to-day support to operating teams experiencing troubleshooting needs, problem analysis issues, equipment failures, or other maintenance-related concerns.
Maintain compliance with key performance indicators used to track and report electrical performance, including supplier performance, equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness.
Oversee and engage in facility-related electrical projects, repair of building utility systems such as electrical wiring and controls, heating, and ventilation systems.

Compensation: $115,00 - $130,000

Proficiency in pipe fitting, plumbing, welding, shop machinery, sheet metal, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls and instrumentation, and automatic equipment operation including setup, repair, and tear down.
New team members must be able to pass a drug, alcohol and background screening post-offer and prior to the start of their employment. The Immigration Reform and Control Act requires that verification of employment eligibility be documented for all new employees by the end of their third day of work.
Work is performed on-site in a poultry processing production environment. This role requires regular access to production areas and the ability to tolerate varying heat, wet, and chilled conditions within the plant. Hearing and eye protection are required in production areas, and team members must wear hair and beard nets and any additional personal protective equipment required by task, location, or safety standards.
