CNC Quality Engineer
Turbo Machined Products seeks talented Quality Engineer to join our team producing high quality, precision parts in the aerospace and power generation space for defense and commercial markets. This opportunity is located in Frankfort, NY. On site work required. No remote work available. US Citizenship required for government contracts.
General: The individual in this classification will be required to develop control plans, perform SPC studies, interface with internal and external customers and regulatory auditors.
This individual will need to have the knowledge of and the ability to use conventional gaging, Micrometers, Calipers, Depth Micrometers, Height gages, Indicators, Sine plate, etc.
The person acquiring this position will report to the Quality Manager of Turbo Machined Products.
Responsibilities:
- Review the requirements of the customer drawings and purchase order for requirements in support of developing control plans.
- Working experience with SPC, PPAP, Control Plans, etc.
- Perform Final inspection of TMP product.
- Balloon drawings and Create inspection sheets as needed.
- Support in maintaining quality system requirements (AS9100, ISO9000).
- Influence and guide other team members with product review and analysis for QA Activities.
- High proficiency with reporting and publishing required metrics.
- Other tasks as assigned by Quality Manager
Physical Requirements:
- Safely ascend and descend Step ladders, stairs and ramps.
- Remain in a stationary position, often sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time up to approximately 2 hours.
- Significant use of hands and arms, plus finger dexterity to reach, point, write, type, operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Move about to accomplish tasks and move from one work area to another.
- Constantly repeating motions that include use of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Perform light physical work that includes the ability to adjust or move objects up to 20 lbs.
- Communicate with others to exchange information.
- All positions require eye protection be worn when in manufacturing areas. Hearing protection is recommended when in manufacturing areas.
Qualifications:
A record of experience or certifiable documentation from an educational institution shall be provided.
This position may also be acquired through a TMP training program as provided by the company.
Qualifications may vary depending upon company and customer needs.
