Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a dynamic educational environment. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including Montessori or preschool frameworks, that support early childhood education.
- Manage classroom activities to create a positive, inclusive environment conducive to learning and growth for all students.
- Utilize educational technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate differentiated learning approaches.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods and maintain detailed records of student progress, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavioral data.
- Collaborate with specialists such as speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and other professionals to support students with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Apply behavior management strategies tailored for students with special needs to promote positive behavior and social skills development.
- Mentor and support assistant teachers or aides, fostering teamwork and professional growth within the classroom setting.
- Ensure compliance with special education law, IEP requirements, and early intervention protocols while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children from preschool through early childhood stages.
Skills
- Proven experience in classroom management, behavior management for students with disabilities, and working with children in early childhood settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math instruction, and educational technology integration.
- Expertise in special education practices, including curriculum development for students with developmental disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Familiarity with speech therapy techniques, behavioral health strategies, and behavioral therapy approaches tailored for young learners.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and specialists while advocating for student needs.
- Ability to develop individualized lesson plans that address diverse learning styles and abilities while adhering to IEP guidelines.
- Knowledge of classroom experience in private schools or Montessori settings is preferred; preschool experience is highly valued.
