Summary
As an Appointment Scheduler at California Orthopaedic Institute, you will be instrumental in managing patient appointments and ensuring a seamless experience for our clients. This role is vital in supporting our commitment to high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments efficiently while ensuring optimal use of physician time.
- Verify patient insurance information and communicate coverage details to patients.
- Manage incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with health information management standards.
- Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow within the office.
- Assist in the preparation of necessary documentation for patient visits and procedures.
- Monitor appointment schedules and follow up with patients as needed to confirm attendance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a call center representative, medical appointment scheduler, medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology, particularly in orthopaedics.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient in insurance verification processes and patient scheduling software.
- Exceptional communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Familiarity with health information management practices is a plus.
- Bilingual Spanish/English.
