Job Overview
People Integra is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED) for a 13-week travel contract in Chula Vista, California.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Emergency Room RN / ED Registered Nurse looking for a travel assignment with competitive pay and a 36-hour weekly schedule.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department while managing complex and high-risk clinical situations.
Requirements
- Active California RN License – Required
- BSN or ADN – Required
- Minimum 3 years of recent Registered Nurse experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department / ED experience
- Strong Emergency Room (ER) / Emergency Department RN experience
- BLS/CPR – Required
- ACLS – Required
- PALS – Required
- NIH / NIHSS – Required
- CPI or comparable certification – Required
- CPI or comparable certification must include an 8-hour class
- At least 50% of the CPI/comparable class must be completed in person
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage high-acuity patients
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and reassessments.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide safe, effective, and therapeutic nursing interventions.
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
- Modify care plans based on patient condition and clinical needs.
- Manage complex, new, unusual, and high-risk clinical situations.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Advocate for patients and support patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Coordinate patient care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing standards.
- Prioritize care effectively in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment.
- Delegate appropriate nursing tasks within scope of practice.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
